1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Evaporate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the service.

2. Description of Service

Evaporate provides instant, temporary, one-to-one translated text chat via a web-based interface at evaporate.chat. The service is provided completely free of charge. There are no payments, subscriptions, or paid features. Chats are ephemeral: a new chat waits up to 1 hour for the other person to join, active chats end after around 10 minutes of inactivity, and messages are deleted when a chat ends. We do not verify or guarantee the identity, availability, behaviour, or conduct of other users.

3. No Accounts / No Persistence

Evaporate does not provide user accounts. Conversations are not saved or retrievable once a chat ends. Chat continuity, availability, and performance are not guaranteed. Use of the service is entirely at your own risk.

4. Age Requirement

Evaporate is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction, to use the service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Evaporate to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others, engage in illegal, unlawful, or fraudulent activity, send spam or unsolicited messages, transmit malware or harmful code, or interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service. We reserve the right to end chats and to restrict, suspend, or block access from devices for misuse, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

6. No Warranties

Evaporate is provided free of charge on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding translation accuracy, availability, uptime, reliability, security, or suitability for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evaporate shall not be liable for loss of conversations, translation errors or misunderstandings, actions or conduct of other users, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. The service is provided free of charge, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Evaporate from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Evaporate operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
